DAY1: ARRIVAL IN KIGALI & TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

Arrival at the Kigali International Airport, meet and greet with the guide. Transfer to the Hotel where you will have your dinner and accommodation.

DAY2: KIGALI CITY TOUR EXPLORATION & FAZENDA

Start historical-minded exploration of Kigali city with visits to landmarks from the pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial era as well as genocide period i.e. Kigali Genocide memorial site where over 259,000 genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves.

After you will visit Belgian camp where they killed the 10 Belgian UN soldiers who were protecting the moderate prime minister before genocide period.

Lunch in Kigali later transfer to Fazenda mount Kigali to experience exciting activities like horse riding, zipline and quad ride.

DAY3: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK ENROUTE VISIT MUSEUMS

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Nyungwe National Park (8-9am) en-route do a historical minded exploration of Nyanza and Butare. Visit the King’s palace,

 And Ethnographic Museum which give introduction to Rwanda’s kingdoms. Proceed to Nyungwe forest park.

DAY4: NYUNGWE CANOPY WALKWAY & COMMUNITY BASED TOURISM

Breakfast and briefing followed by a walk to the famous canopy walk way. A 70 m high and 160m long artificial bridge which allows you to see beautiful views of this old forest from the top. You will also get chance to see some birds at the tree crowns

lunch at hotel then drive to local visit gisakura tea plantation will enable you to experience and learn the art of picking tea leaves and trying it out on your own After drive to kibuye.

DAY5: KIBUYE – BOAT CRUISE, NYANGE SCHOOL & ENVIRONMENTAL MUSEUM

Transfer to the shores of the Lake Kivu to enjoy a boat ride to visit the Napoleon and Amahoro Islands to see a number of colorful birds, clouds of big fruit bats, learn the history of the lake and the beautiful views of the Lake surroundings.

 After lunch, proceed to visiting the Genocide memorial church where many Tusti killed expecting that no one will kill them in the house of God. Later visit the famous Nyange School where students were killed during Genocide after refusing to divide themselves into Tutsis and Hutus.  After Visit environmental museum and drive to Gisenyi to enjoy a night in the town near borders by experiencing the local nightlife.

DAY6: GISENYI – LAKE KIVU, HOTSPRING & DRIVE TO VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast then drive to Lake Kivu, the Rwanda’s most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. It is considered as one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze, boat ride as you enjoy lake view, later visit Hotspring after drive to volcanoes national park.

DAY7: BUHANGA ECO-PARK AND GORILLA GUARDIAN VILLAGE& DEPART

After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the tour of experiencing Buhanga Eco-park that is set upon an ancient sacred site that was used for the colonation rituals of Rwandan kings.

Afternoon visit the Gorilla Guardian village (Ibyiwacu Cultural Village) to learn more about culture; visit to the village will introduce you to Rwandan culture and get to connect with locals and engage in different activities with them such as; traditional dancing, drumming, games, etc.

After you will drive back to Kigali and transfer to the Airport.
